The double wire mesh fencing, also calles twin wire mesh fence consists of two basic elements: a fence panel and metal posts on which the wire fence are hung. Then of course you have the mounting materials (we call them fence brackets, blocks, fixings). Hekwerkonline's posts are standard 60 to 80 cm longer than the fencing. These extra centimeters are needed to place the post in the ground so that the entire fence is sturdy.

Different wire thickness
We have two types of double wire mesh fencing in our range. The most commonly used variant among private individuals is the Ø 6/5/6 variant. The more robust Ø 8/6/8 variant is more often used on business premises and along the track, for example. The double wire fence is made up of three rods, 2 times horizontally and 1 time vertically. The vertical rod is locked between the 2 horizontal rods. The case of the Ø 6/5/6 variant is the vertical bar 5 mm and the horizontal bars 6 mm. The Ø 8/6/8 fence panels have rods with a diameter of 8 and 6 millimeters.
Different mounting systems
The double wire mesh fencing package is distinctive with beautiful different types of fence brackets with which the fencing panels are attached to the posts.
- The decorative bracket has the advantage that due to the method of attachment, the fencing is not mounted on one side of the post. With the decorative bracket, the double wire fences are mounted on the center of the post. An excellent choice when the fencing is placed between, for example, two neighbors. These fence brackets can be mounted on our “smooth” 6 x 4 cm post, making this bracket also very suitable for absorbing height differences in your garden.
- The round intermediate bracket is the bracket for our round post. This bracket is strong and heavy duty and is therefore often used in combination with the Ø 8/6/8 fencing. The round metal posts give a beautiful appearance to the fences and the surface treatment (galvanized and coated) makes the product literally indestructible and therefore extremely durable.
- The following brackets are used on our multi-post. This post has mounting blocks that are pre-mounted on the post using blind rivet nuts. These are on average every 20 or 40cm on the post. There is a specific post for each height that fits perfectly with the fencing.
- Cover plate is the standard mounting for our multi-post. Each mounting block comes with a galvanized plate with which you can secure the fencing using the supplied Allen screws.
Various cover strips
- A smooth cover strip is a strip that is as long as the fencing is high and is placed in front of the fencing and secured with Allen screws. The frames are in the same color as the fencing and also have a matching cover in plastic or aluminum.
- Profiled cover strip is the same concept as our smooth variant, but with an attractive profile in the frame.
Various post caps for posts
The combination of fence post and fence bracket determines which cover caps are on the post. We have the hoods below:
- Plastic cover 6x4cm
- Plastic cover with overhang 6x4cm
- Plastic cover cap Ø 6cm
- Plastic cover with hook Ø 6cm
- Aluminum cover cap
- Aluminum cover with overhang
The plastic caps are - almost naturally - black in color. You have more choice with aluminum cover caps. We supply these in the same color as the fencing and the accompanying steel post. We have galvanized the aluminum hoods in the colors black, green, anthracite and uncoated.
Optional parts
Depending on your situation or wishes, you can order additional products in our configurator. Below are a number of options you can choose from:
- Base plates for places where the fence post cannot be placed in the ground; the post itself needs to be shortened
